A community mural project was underway in Allston, MA captained by JR Coffin of StudioDenDen. The idea was to turn the drab footbridge over the Mass Pike into something beautiful and relevant to the city. In my research I learned that Allston only became a town when it established its first post office couriering mail between Boston and Brighton, hence the design of the American Robin delivering a love note from the Bumble Bee to the Beetle.
