Scope of work: Production
Illustrator Matthew Moffat created the image of Farmer Willie’s Ginger Beer founder… Farmer Willie. The creative team at HEART was then tasked to help him create tap handles. Bobble-head, tap handles.
A first for us, architect John Mazzocchi and I sourced a 3D model of the head and bust and printed them. With mostly the help of Youtube, we made a silicone mold and cast roughly 20-25 of the cartoon Willie.
We then drilled holes down into the bust and up into the neck that we re-filled with liquid plastic and suspended 1/2” diameter springs in between.
The result was then brought back to Matt for painting:
